Jiyuan Lyu completed his Master degree at the Hangzhou Normal University in China in 2018. He carried out his MSc project in the group of Prof. Xu working on copper-catalyzed enantioselective conjugate addition of diethyl zinc to α,β-unsaturated acylsilanes by using multifunctional chiral Schiff base–phosphine ligands. In October 2018, he joined the group of Géraldine Masson for his Ph. D. studies thanks to a CSC fellowship. His research deals with the design of new chiral organic catalysts and their application in novel asymmetric transformations.
