Cecilia Bozzini
1st year PhD student
Cecilia Bozzini obtained her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2023 and her master’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Pavia Pavia (Italy) in 2025, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stefano Protti. Her master’s thesis focused on the synthesis and characterization of photoresponsive molecular switches. During her studies, she also carried out a research traineeship at Uppsala University (Sweden) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stefano Crespi.

Cecilia joined the team in November as a Ph.D. candidate within the MSCA-Doctoral Network Photocatalytic Industrial Applications, under the supervision of Dr. Géraldine Masson and Dr. Volker Derdau (Sanofi-Aventis). Her project aims to develop innovative photocatalytic methodologies for sustainable industrial processes.

Outside the lab, she enjoys exploring new places and cities, trying new foods, especially discovering local cafés.
