Aurélien Brion obtained his B.Sc. in Molecular Chemistry at Université Paris-Sud (Orsay, France) in 2018 and was then accepted in Chemistry and Life Sciences Master program at PSL University (Paris, France). During his Master studies, Aurélien performed internships in several labs, including the ones of Prof. Ryan A. Shenvi (Scripps Research, La Jolla, USA) and Prof. Arnaud Gautier (Sorbonne Université, Paris, France). In 2021, he completed his M.Sc. traineeship under the guidance of Prof. Raphaël Rodriguez (Institut Curie, Paris, France), where he worked on the total synthesis of alkaloids.

Aurélien joined the lab in October 2021 for his Ph. D., focusing on asymmetric catalysis for the total synthesis of complex natural products.

 

Outside the lab, Aurelien likes cooking, going to the movie theatre and scuba-diving.
